Why Should Healthcare Professionals Attend This Webinar?

As awareness of ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence grows, many clinicians are encountering midlife women experiencing cognitive and emotional changes, such as distractibility, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation, that perimenopause alone doesn’t fully explain.

This session explores the intersection between perimenopause and neurodivergence, particularly ADHD, highlighting how hormonal fluctuations influence dopamine regulation, executive function, and emotional resilience. Dr Helen Wall will discuss how these shifts can “unmask” underlying neurodivergent traits that may have been hidden for decades, and how targeted use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) products, including oestrogen and progesterone-based treatments may support cognitive stability, improve mood regulation, and enhance overall wellbeing when used alongside neurodivergence-informed care strategies.

By attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise how perimenopausal hormonal changes can unmask or worsen ADHD symptoms in midlife women.

  • Understand how oestrogen and progesterone influence focus, mood, and emotional regulation.

  • Identify when to consider ADHD assessment and the role of HRT products such as oestrogen, progesterone, or combined therapies in supporting wellbeing.
