Study Day Summary
This one-day multidisciplinary update brings together experienced clinicians to address common, often challenging presentations seen every week in general practice, covering blood and liver health, diabetes and weight management, ENT, dermatology, and women’s health.Learning Outcomes
- Investigate and manage common anaemias and interpret liver function tests, including recognising and responding to MASLD
- Apply current diabetes guidance and support patients with weight management
- Assess and manage common ENT presentations, including dizziness
- Recognise and manage acne and confidently assess skin lesions where cancer is a concern
- Assess abnormal vaginal bleeding, advise on contraception, and manage menopausal symptoms holistically

A Darlington GP for 40 years and one of the UK’s leading voices in primary care cardiology. Professor Fuat established the UK’s first one-stop integrated heart failure clinic in 2002, earned his PhD researching heart failure diagnosis and natriuretic peptides, and has shaped NICE and ESC guidelines on CVD and heart failure — with his HF work featured in the BHF Blueprint for Heart Failure.
Fellow of the RCGP, RCP London, RCP Edinburgh, the ESC and the PCCS, he sits on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Cardiology and the Primary Care Cardiovascular Journal. He teaches because translating evidence into everyday practice is where patient care is won.

DR. Amy Tatham
MB ChB, MRCGP, DFSRH, DRCODr Amy Tatham is a GP partner and a GP with extended role in gynaecology and menopause in a large Bradford teaching practice where she is the women’s health lead with a passion for providing contraceptive, sexual health and menopause care. She also works in the Bradford hospital based menopause clinic. She enjoys teaching and training and is a CoSRH trainer and holds the advanced BMS menopause certificate and provides secondary and primary care-based specialist menopause clinics. Amy is also the vice chair of the Primary Care Women’s Health Society. She has had experience working for Bradford Districts and Craven ICB and has a passion for addressing health inequalities and driving change to improve access and the care we provide for all our women.
