Obesity and GLP-1s in Everyday Practice
What every clinician needs to know, NHS and private
A practical update on obesity management and weight-loss medicines for
GP practices and community pharmacy teams, followed by an introduction to the
Bodyline referral pathway for patients with more complex weight-health needs.
For GP practice teams and community pharmacy
Patients are asking about weight-loss injections every day. Are you ready for the conversation?
GLP-1 based medicines have changed the way obesity is treated. Patients now arrive at the surgery
and the pharmacy counter with questions about NHS eligibility, private prescriptions, side effects and what happens when they stop.
Many are already using these medicines, some bought online, and not all of them are suitable for the services available locally.
This webinar gives your team the knowledge and the onward route to respond with confidence.
You will get a clear clinical update on obesity and GLP-1 therapy in primary care, and find out how the Bodyline referral pathway can support patients whose needs sit outside your own service.

Who should attend?
This webinar is designed for primary care teams, including:
- GPs and GP registrars
- Practice nurses and advanced nurse practitioners
- PCN and practice clinical pharmacists
- Community pharmacists, pharmacy owners and contractors
- Superintendent pharmacists and pharmacy leaders involved in weight-management services
It is ideal for anyone who talks to patients about weight, supports patients taking GLP-1 medicines,
or wants a trusted referral route for patients with more complex needs.
Why attend now?
Demand for weight-management support is rising fast, and GLP-1 medicines are now part of everyday conversations in both general practice and community pharmacy.
NHS access is expanding in phases, private supply continues to grow, and patients often move between the two. Clinicians need to be confident about what is safe, what is appropriate and where to send patients next.
Practices and pharmacies with up-to-date knowledge and a trusted referral route are better placed to protect patient safety and keep the relationship with people who come to them for help.
The aim is simple: know the facts, have the conversation and give every patient a clear next step.
This webinar is supported by Bodyline.
