Her work in under-served communities and health leadership has been recognised by the RCGP, Society of Occupational Medicine, and the Faculty of Public Health, who awarded her Membership through Distinction in 2024. She was the first independent Chair of the Muslim Sports Foundation. She is committed to mentoring early career doctors to become future leaders
