Meet the Speaker: Professor Saqib Mahmud

Professor Saqib Mahmud specialises in all aspects of diabetes with its complexities and co-morbidities. He is passionate about preventing diabetes associated complications and prevention of strokes and heart attacks by early intervention in diabetes and providing a legacy effect which will prevent complications in the future. Diabetes lead at his practice since 2005, he has spent 15 years raising clinical standards, teaching healthcare professionals and junior doctors, and refining his expertise at international congresses. He also serves as a certified diabetes educator and Early Action in Diabetes UK champion.
