Why Should Healthcare Professionals Attend  Study Day?

This CPD-accredited, face-to-face study day equips UK primary care clinicians with practical, evidence-based updates in type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular risk reduction, lipid optimisation, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) management.

Designed for the realities of everyday primary care, the programme focuses on translating guidelines into actionable clinical decisions. Through expert-led sessions and real-world case discussions, attendees will strengthen confidence in insulin initiation, apply contemporary guidance to complex multimorbidity, and understand how emerging therapies are reshaping cardio-renal-metabolic care in routine practice.

Key Benefits
  • Build confidence in practical diabetes management
Gain clear, structured approaches to insulin initiation and titration, therapy optimisation, and overcoming therapeutic inertia in primary care.

  • Optimise cardio-renal risk alongside glycaemic control
Develop a deeper understanding of cardiovascular and renal protection in people living with type 2 diabetes, including lipid management and CKD progression.

  • Translate guidance into real-world clinical decisions
Apply NICE-aligned and international guidance to realistic patient scenarios, supporting safe, effective, and person-centred care.

  • Engage in networking and shared learning
Connect with fellow UK healthcare professionals, exchange best practice, and engage with expert faculty and industry partners during scheduled breaks and lunch.

CPD Accreditation

This study day is CPD-accredited. All attendees who participate in the full programme will receive a CPD certificate, supporting professional development and revalidation requirements across UK healthcare professions.
