Why Should Healthcare Professionals Attend This Webinar?

Diabetes reviews are a core component of workload in community pharmacy and Primary Care Networks (PCNs), yet time pressures, increasing complexity, and evolving guidance can make it challenging to deliver high-quality, person-centred care within short appointments. Missed optimisation opportunities can lead to poor glycaemic control, avoidable complications, and suboptimal cardiovascular and renal risk management.

This webinar focuses on delivering effective, structured diabetes reviews in just 15 minutes, helping clinicians maximise impact within real-world constraints. Using practical case-based examples, the session will demonstrate how to prioritise key clinical checks, optimise therapy, and support shared decision-making across pharmacy and PCN settings.

Key Learning Objectives

Structured diabetes reviews in 15 minutes

  • Use a clear, repeatable framework to run efficient and focused diabetes reviews

  • Prioritise high-impact interventions within limited consultation time

  • Identify red flags and know when escalation or referral is required

Optimising outcomes across PCNs and pharmacy

  • Align reviews with QOF and PCN priorities

  • Optimise glucose-lowering therapy, including appropriate use of newer agents

  • Address cardiovascular, renal and weight-related risk alongside glycaemic control

  • Improve adherence, injection technique, and patient engagement

Key Benefits

This CPD-accredited webinar will support healthcare professionals to:

  • Deliver confident, high-value diabetes reviews despite time pressures

  • Improve clinical outcomes through targeted optimisation and early intervention

  • Apply UK guideline-aligned care consistently across pharmacy and PCN settings
